This training provides an introduction to Thin Edge, a cloud-agnostic framework designed for resource constraint edge devices. Thin Edge provides pre-packaged modules, plug & play connectors to a range of cloud platforms, and built-in software and firmware management. The architecture is based on processes, exchanging messages over an MQTT bus. Thin Edge is available is available in two versions, thin-edge.io and Cumulocity IoT Thin Edge. Thin-edge.io is an open-source framework. Cumulocity IoT Thin Edge is centered around the open-source thin-edge.io framework for Cumulocity IoT customers. The course explains the concept and the architecture of the thin edge framework. You will learn how to install thin-edge.io, how to connect, manage and monitor your device. The installation and the features will be demonstrated using a Raspberry Pi.
