The foundation of the course is the best practice configuration of the Alfabet Accelerator. The course consists of methodological parts (definitions, meta-models, examples) combined with hands-on lab where the methodology training data and examples are based on the fictional "AllFinance" Holding company.

The Alfabet Portfolio Management Essentials course is based on several parts:  Basic, Core and Electives.

Alfabet offers functionality that allows users of Expand to write both tabular reports with the Alfabet Query Language or with native SQL. These tabular reports can be used to populate visual reports (such as trees, cluster maps, matrix reports or bar charts) with data from an Alfabet database. Expand is then used to manage access rights to these reports or integrate them into existing user profiles.

Attendees:Alfabet users who will be writing Alfabet reports and people who plan to be working with Expand beyond a beginner level.

Expand is a tool used to configure user profiles and functionality for Alfabet. The meta-model can be enhanced to reflect an Alfabet customer's unique information needs. Configured, use case-based user profiles grant individual user’s different perspectives and views on the data stored in the Alfabet database. This course enables participants to work with Expand, helping them learn how to adjust existing user profiles and create new ones.
