This self-paced course is meant for someone who is new webMethods Integration Server development. It introduces the webMethods integration platform within the Software AG Digital Business Platform. Participants learn through hands-on exercises how to develop, debug and monitor integration solution services using Software AG Designer. The concept of the data pipeline is introduced, and how to use mapping tools and Flow services to move XML documents and flat-file data into and out of Integration Server. Learners are taught about webMethods adapters. The adapter for Java® Database Connectivity (JDBC®) is covered in detail. Learners have a chance to use the services they developed and taught how to optimize, secure, and configure services for performance and scalability using various techniques, including caching.

The webMethods Integration Essentials course is based on several parts:  Basic, Core and Electives.
